Domain Handling

Domain names are used to connect users to your hosting. So for example www.solarhost.co.uk links to our hosting on our server, although the domain name is registerred via a third party. Because the costs associated with providing domains are so high, we think it is unfair for us to pass on these charges.

You are free to purchase your domain name from ANY supplier who offers DNS control. You simply purchase the domains from them and then use their DNS redirection facility, usually within 3 - 24 hours the domain is connected to our servers and your account is working fine!

SolarHost is in no-way affiliated with any domain name supplier, although below is a list of some of the webs largest domain suppliers:

Once you have ordered your domain you need to activate DNS redirection, simple instructions for this can be found here.

Alternatively contact us for a managed, private registration. This service means you are the legal owner but the domain registrant is shown as Solar Host. You can contact us via our helpdesk.
